Title: Your Game Is Over
By: Zorin Nizamani

For the powerful elderly men and women who occupy positions of authority, the game is over. The younger generation is no longer buying what you are trying to sell. You may organize as many lectures and seminars in schools and colleges as you like, and you may continue your attempts to promote patriotism, but it is not working. Patriotism emerges naturally when there are equal opportunities, strong infrastructure, and effective systems. When people are provided with basic necessities and their rights are protected, there is no need to visit schools and colleges to instruct students on loving their country -they will do so on their own.

Young minds -Generation Z and Generation Alpha are fully aware of what is happening. Despite your persistent efforts to sell them your version of patriotism, they see through it. Thanks to the internet, and to what little education still remains accessible, your attempts to keep the public as uninformed as possible have failed. You have failed to dictate what people should think; they are thinking for themselves. They may hesitate to voice their thoughts openly, because they value their ability to breathe freely, but they clearly see through your self-fashioned masks of virtue and morality.

You may retain power through force, but the people no longer care about you. You cannot even step outside your homes without security; if this does not reflect your lack of popularity, then a serious reassessment is in order. The youth have had enough. Having learned that they cannot challenge the powerful, they are choosing to leave the country. It would be idealistic to assume they will launch movements against corruption. Instead, they will leave quietly and never look back, because those who spoke up before them were silenced.

For the baby boomers, this era is over. There is no future for them. A vast divide separates the young population from the current ruling class, with no common ground between them. Generation Z demands fast internet; those in power want stronger firewalls. Generation Z seeks affordable smartphones; boomers want to tax them. Generation Z wants fewer restrictions on freelancing; boomers seek more regulation. There is no point of convergence -and that is precisely why the boomers have lost.

You may wage as many wars as you like; Generation Z will turn them into memes. You may censor mainstream media; Generation Z will migrate to platforms such as Rumble, YouTube, and Discord to express their views. Boomers, you can no longer censor ideas. The days when people could be easily deceived are over. No one is being fooled anymore.

Yes, we lack libraries. Yes, we cannot afford apartment rents. Yes, we cannot afford to buy cars. Thanks to your efforts, the economy handed down to us is in worse condition than your moral standards. Yet despite all this, we continue to move forward, finding comfort in books, social media, coffee shops (however much some of us dislike them), and double-patty beef burgers. We continue to swim in polluted waters. We do not watch your televised speeches, because much of what you say has become a source of ridicule. For that, we have stand-up comedy -why watch mainstream media?

Times are changing, and the sooner you understand this, the better. But you do not care. Your children live abroad, you earn millions daily, you wield unlimited power, you eat the finest food and drink clean water -why would you care? You will care only when you realize that no one is listening to you anymore. Do you know why?

Generation Z has its headphones on and paid Spotify subscriptions. If conditions become unbearable, half of them will have the means to leave; the other half will make you listen to their music -and not politely. Boomers, we are exhausted. We are no longer buying your narrative. It is outdated.
